Simple, in-home technology setup for older adults and families — with warm, patient help every step of the way. No monthly fees for my time. No complicated equipment. Just technology that works.
You buy your own devices — and that's intentional. Everything registers in your name, your Amazon account, and your warranty. I send you a shopping list with direct purchase links before the visit. The pricing below is for my time and expertise only — no hardware markups, ever.
Each package is designed around a specific need. Not sure which fits? Book a free 15-minute consult call — no pressure, no obligation. I'll help you figure it out.
Simple technology that makes it easier to call, video chat, and stay in touch with the people who matter most. An Echo Show on the kitchen counter means family can call and your face appears — no buttons to push, no fumbling with a phone.
Easy-to-use technology that helps with everyday comforts: voice-controlled lights, simple TV help, smart plugs, and Alexa reminders. Things that used to require getting up or fumbling with remotes become as simple as saying it out loud.
A focused setup visit built around one meaningful addition to your home — a video doorbell so you can see who's at the door, a smart thermostat you can control from anywhere, or a second Alexa device for a bedroom or office. Great if you already have some basics in place and want to add something specific without a full package visit.
One for snowbirds heading south. One for older adults who love to read.
Heading south for the winter? This package sets up simple, practical home technology so you can feel confident and connected to your Minnesota home from wherever you are. You'll have the right alerts on your phone before you leave — and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your home is looked after.
One of the best-kept secrets: your local library card gives you unlimited free ebooks and audiobooks — downloaded right to a Kindle, tablet, or phone. Most people have no idea this exists. Once it's set up, borrowing a book is easier than driving to the library.
⏱️ About visit time: Each package includes a set number of hours. If a visit runs longer due to a larger home, more rooms, or additional setup needs, I'll let you know before continuing. Additional time is $65/hour with your approval — no surprises.
Not sure what any of this does or whether it's right for you? Here's what each device actually does in real life.
A small screen on the kitchen counter. Family can call and your face appears — no phone needed, no buttons to push. Just say "Alexa, answer." Also shows weather, reminders, and who's at the door.
A small speaker about the size of a tennis ball. Answers questions, plays music, sets reminders, controls lights and TV by voice — and lets you call family hands-free from anywhere in the room.
"Alexa, turn off the bedroom light." Done. No getting up. No fumbling with switches in the dark. Smart plugs on lamps and appliances also let you control things by voice or by app from anywhere.
A small device placed under a sink, water heater, or in the laundry area. If it gets wet, your phone gets an alert right away — so you can act quickly before a small problem becomes a big one. Especially useful when the home is empty for weeks at a time.
"Alexa, set the temperature to 72." Works. You can also adjust it remotely from your phone — and snowbirds get freeze alerts if the home drops dangerously cold while they're away.
Replaces only the inside of the existing deadbolt — existing keys still work. Add a keypad code for family. Lock or unlock from anywhere. "Alexa, lock the front door" just works.
Book a free 15-minute phone call and I'll help you figure out exactly what makes sense for your home and your situation. No pressure, no sales pitch.
